The 108th CSFFA Fire College will be held June 19–20, 2026, at the Aurora Fire Rescue Training Grounds. This annual statewide training event brings firefighters from across Colorado together for hands-on, skills-based education led by Colorado-based FDIC instructors with real-world operational experience. Participants will have the opportunity to attend Hands-On Training (HOT) classes, live-fire evolutions, and classroom-based leadership and command instruction designed to improve operational performance, safety, and decision-making on the fireground. Classes are offered in full-day, single-day, and half-day formats. Some classes require attendance on both days. Additional classes will be announced soon.

Course Description
Chop Shop RX is an advanced, hands-on extrication course designed to enhance firefighters’ ability to operate on modern vehicle construction, including hybrid and electric vehicles, while applying the latest extrication techniques in real-world scenarios. Students will apply new-construction awareness, tool techniques, and patient-centered rescue methods in live, practical environments.
Course Objectives
Students will learn to:
• Identify modern vehicle construction and its impact on extrication
• Perform stabilization and cutting techniques
• Execute rapid patient access and removal
• Apply hybrid and EV rescue considerations
• Work efficiently as a coordinated rescue team

Course Description
This live-fire training focuses on 1st Due Fireground Operations at residential structure fires. Students will participate in up to 10 live-fire scenarios inside one- and two-story residential structures. Crews will perform forcible entry, fire attack, search, rescue, ventilation, ladders, and coordinated engine and truck operations.
This is one of the most realistic fireground training environments available, designed to test and improve operational readiness, decision-making, and teamwork.

When you arrive on scene, the first few minutes can make or break the next few hours. Come and learn how to conduct an organized size up of a structure fire. Students will be given the opportunity to practice size ups and making initial assignments. This is a great session for both the rookie and the senior firefighter.
